Jenny Lu and the Black Velvet Band have been together now for 15 years and counting. We play R&B, Oldies, and light Classic Rock. The Black Velvet Band was formed by husband and wife team, Chad and Jenny Lu Shireman. The band has had several great musicians in the past be a part of the band. The current line-up has been together now for 3 years and consists of Jenny Lu on lead vocals, Chad on guitar, sax, and vocals, Teresa hale on keys and vocals, Brian Nunn on drums and vocals, and David King on bass. Jenny Lu and Black Velvet have played great shows in Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and West Virginia. In the past we have played the Kentucky State Fair, the International BBQ Festival in Owensboro, Derby Festival Chow Wagon shows in Louisville, as well as several State Parks, local fairs and festivals, large private party events, and several Concerts In The Park series including the last couple of years in Bowling Green.
